“Healing Health” Granola Bars

1/3 cup oil

¾ cup brown sugar

2 Tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 egg

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

1 ½ cups oats

2 cups rice crispies

1 cup chocolate chips

Optional: 1 cup nuts or sunflower seeds

Combine oil, sugar, honey, vanilla and egg.  Add flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt.  Mix well.  Stir in oats, cereal, chocolate chips and optional nuts.  Spray 9x13 pan with Pam.  Press mixture into pan.  Bake @ 350 fro 20-30 minutes.  Cool.  Cut in middle lengthwise and then by 7.
