Christmas 2005

What a wonderful year!  It was full of joy and happiness, frustrations and sorrows.  I'm thankful I was here for all the moments that 2005 had to offer, with my Lord and Savior walking by my side.  As I look over the blessings of 2005, the following come to mind:

  • Discovering our passion for camping!
  • Spending time with our kids.
  • Visits with extended family around the country.
  • Our friends and neighbors, that have become our Minnesota family.
  • Our family's health and security.

I'm afraid I've not had the time to keep the website current over the summer months.  I am finally caught up on the photos, and I invite you to peruse our adventures for the year.  All the 2005 pictures can be viewed in our Gallery.  The newest pages are listed below.  I'll have another update in January with holiday photos and the pile of recipes I have been saving to add.

Wishing all of you a extraordinary year in 2006!

...Christina

P.S.  I'd love to hear from you!

Annabelle is growing up, as you can see from her picture.  She is in second grade at the local elementary school.  She started taking piano lessons this fall and is enjoying it.  Her biggest passion though is reading.  She has her nose in a book from the time she comes home until we turn out the lights.  She is also active with church, Brownies and book club.

Nathaniel

8This has been a big year for Nathaniel.  He started preschool this fall which was a tough transition for both of us.  I have always known that Nathaniel was a little different, and trying preschool really magnified these differences.  A wonderful resource was found in the book, The Highly Sensitive Child, by Elaine N. Aron, PhD.   You can learn more about her and this temperament at her website or at this article in Mothering Magazine.  You might just discover that you are a highly sensitive person too, as I did!

Otherwise, Nathaniel is a joyful and exuberant little boy, and a blessing to our home.  He loves reading and has branched out from truck books to all sorts of children's literature.  He loves playing with construction trucks, singing and cooking in his play kitchen.
