November 2007

Our new playroom.  I finally succumbed to turning our formal dining room into yet another play space.   Legos had taken over the space next to our kitchen anyway.  So we removed the dining table to create an open area in the center and added a cube shelving unit from IKEA.  Nathaniel spends all his time in this room now!

Annabelle dressed for  drama skit she performed in at church.  It was a long morning...she performed it 5 times that morning.

Annabelle with the cast.

On stage...the story was a take on the "Feeding of the 5000"

Nathaniel's new fish..."Pick-up" the guppy.  Don't ask me about the name!  Something about "up" rhyming with "gup".  We had an epidemic hit our aquarium last month that claimed the lives of Goldie, Goldie I and Goldie II (poor Nathaniel)!      Amazingly, Annabelle's fish Calico survived...coming back from the dreaded "side float".

Blurry shot - but shows how much bigger Calico (Annabelle's fish) is than Pick-up.

Our family handprint poster - for Nathaniel's kindergarten class.

A deer we spotted out the guest room window.  There were actually 3...a doe and 2 fawns.  We got to see the fawns nursing - very cool!

11/17/07...The first accumulating snow...melted off by midday though.

Making Cranberry relish the Tuesday before Thanksgiving...a Ludwig Family tradition!

Making Pumpkin Pie Thanksgiving morning.  We were waffling between Thanksgiving dessert choices until then: Pumpkin Bars, Pumpkin Whoopie Pies and Pumpkin Pie.  Traditional Pumpkin Pie won this year.  I'm rooting for my grandma's pumpkin bars next year.

Shaping the crust of the pumpkin pie.

A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving lunch...the kids had toast, popcorn, pretzel sticks and YES...jelly beans!

Annabelle with her Charlie Brown Thanksgiving dinner.

Our annual Thanksgiving nature walk through the wetland behind our house.  A perfect day...about 30 and light snow falling all day.

The kids left corn for the animals along the path.

Thanksgiving dinner!

Chris' dinner plate on Thanksgiving...we had roast carrots, mashed potatoes, turkey, cranberry relish and cornbread (he didn't have room on his plate for it!)

Annabelle eating her pumpkin pie.

Pictures of "Christmas At the Manger", at Woodale Church.  Annabelle is in the choir...the last on on the left in the front center row.  Sorry - my pictures turned out terrible!
