This is adapted from a recipe in Quick and Healthy Volume II, by Brenda Ponichtera. Her recipes are great - I highly recommend her cookbooks!!

This makes 8 biscuits - I always halve recipe because they aren't as good reheated.

Whole Wheat Drop Biscuits

1 cup unbleached flour

1 cup whole wheat flour

1 Tbsp sugar

1 Tbsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup milk

2 Tbsp canola oil.

Preheat oven to 400. Spray foil covered baking sheet with non stick cooking spray. Mix dry ingredients. Stir in milk and oil, mixing with fork until the mixture leaves the side of the bowl. Drop by spoonfuls onto the baking sheet, making 8 biscuits. Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.
